Fugue State Records first release Asspanther's "Eucharism" 7" Art Object available Friday March 4th @ Wootini Gallery

Fugue State Records is proud to announce the release of Asspanther's inaugural North American Release, Eucharism on 45 RPM single. Eucharism will be available exclusively through Wootini Gallery at the Blood Brothers show in North Carolina starting March 4th - 31st http://www.wootinigallery.com . Fans of the international Black Metal scene will note that Asspanther has long been considered the premier Icelandinc Black Metal band. Their brutal metal onslaught has frightened censors here in the US and their anti-religious songs "Eucharism" and "Religion is Mind Control' lash out at the hypocrisy found in the houses of the holy all around the world.

Fugue State Records ( http://fugue-state.com ) is a fictional “Extreme Music” record label created by NYC Artist, Abe Lincoln Jr. He will be using the form factor of the iconic 7″ record to release singles from the fictional Hardcore and Heavy Metal bands on the Fugue State label roster. These are NOT real 7″ records with music on them, hey are Design Objects meant to be displayed with the rest of your Art collection.

He'll be laser etching various materials to create the records and the sleeves will be digitally printed. Each release from Fugue State Records will be limited to no more that 10-50 pcs per colorway. Once a colorway is done it will not be released again. In support of these releases he will also be doing other Artist Multiples such as band and label “merch”. T-shirts, gig posters, stickers & zines, will be released as the project continues.

The goal with the project is to tell the story of Fugue State Records, creating a world that has continuity. There will be multiple releases from the bands on the Fugue State label roster. New bands being signed
and old bands moving on or breaking up. The project is meant to be ongoing. He plans on doing multiple art shows/record releases and putting out new Multiples regularly.

The first release is from Fugue State Records is from Icelandic Black  Metal band, Asspanther. The Eucharism 7-inch contains the “tracks” Eucharism and backed with Religion is Mind Control.

This edition is laser etched red acrylic plastic, with a digitally printed sleeve and limited to 20 pieces. It retails for $60 USD and will be available at Wootini Gallery  for the Blood Brothers show with MCA and Evoker from March 4th - 31st. There is also a 22x30” silkscreen poster on 250gm paper, available for $40 also limited to 20 pcs. After the opening the Objects will be available online at Wootini’s site until the show comes down. Any remaining singles/posters will be available online at Abe’s webstore http://abelincolnjr.bigcartel.com.

Skull show at MF Gallery in Gowanus Brooklyn.
The I'm saving the unveil for tomorrow, as I'm super stoked to combine

skulls as the subject matter for their normal work, and some who were
asked to create a skull piece just for this show.

Asspanther/Septuagenarian and Past Present Future NOW flyer by Avoid PI

Avoidpi_fugueestate_blackwhite

Awesome new flier from NYC based artist Avoid PI!

bands: Asspanther, Septugenarian, Past Present Future NOW
location: 27/58, 2758 Rosewood Dr. Columbia, South Carolina
date: the future past

AVOID pi has both performed in bands and designed fliers since his creative beginnings in Columbia, South Carolina's DIY/Punk scene. As early as 1995, he was wheatpasting the Southeast with chaotic collages inspired by Winston Smith and local legend, Chris Bickel. The club, 27/58, was a local SC venue that hosted the best in underground punk, showcasing international screamo and powerviolence in a small, cramped store front. Past Present Future NOW is AVOID pi's current music project, drawing influences from blastbeat, casiocore, glitch, and lo-fi sources. This same ground level approach can be seen in the accessible image sources and lettering styles of the flier design, as well as the choppy, gritty editing of PPFN's videos.
